David was born and raised in Deer Lodge, Montana, and graduated from Powell County High School. He received a bachelorâs degree in English Literature from the University of Montana, where he was an active member of the Davidson Honors College and the University of Montana Advocates. He is the author of numerous legal publications and is a member of the Hanover Bar Association as well as the Christian Legal Society, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, and the Lewis F. Powell Jr. American Inn of Court. John recently served as General Counsel for the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association which primarily involved lobbying the General Assembly on behalf of personal injury attorneys and their clients.
